APPEAL DENIED IN ACCUSATION CASE.(Capital Region)

ALBANY -- A state appeals court has unanimously upheld the conviction of Lisa Shutter, the Ravena woman found guilty of falsely accusing Albany police of an inappropriate cavity search at a traffic stop in 2007.

But her sentence was shortened to no more than one year in the Albany County jail.

In a unanimous 5-0 ruling, the Appellate Division of state Supreme Court rejected arguments made by Shutter, who was convicted of telling four lies to police in a two-page sworn statement about the traffic stop Dec. 22, 2007, on Quail Street in West Hill.
